Holly and Matt's Wedding at Holdsworth house

I arrived at Holly and Matt's house early doors. I caught Dad (Matt) and beautiful daughters Annie and Daisy all heading out to leave the bride to get ready at home with her cousin Helen and Mum. I managed to get some quick family 'action' pics as the troops left. Hair and make up moved in and it all began to feel more 'bridal', with the excitement building.

It was a beautiful day in late August. The venue was the stunning Holdsworth House and the wedding ceremony was held outside in the court yard. It was a relatively intimate gathering of very close friends and family. The guests were seated as the doors at the back of the yard opened for the bridal party to come through. Holly looked amazing as she walked down the aisle with her Dad.

Afterwards the guests had the run of the garden for a chance to congratulate the couple, and relax before the wedding breakfast. Together with the bride and groom, we slipped outside the grounds for some quick pictures. We walked down a little lane in the summer heat. We managed to get some lovely shots despite some unsuspecting local walkers, who found themselves involuntarily in the shot too! We finished our shoot with the couple joined by their daughters for a family walk on the lawn. After the group shots I was able to sneak around and capture some great pictures of the guests. Some of the children playing together are amongst my favourite I've taken.

Finally we headed into the dining room for the wedding breakfast. I stayed to capture all the emotion of the speeches leaving the guests to their delicious meal and subsequent celebrations which I believe continued to be a wonderful celebration of the love Matt and Holly have for each other.

Holly's Review

We cannot thank Rachael enough for our wonderful wedding photos! They are exactly we hoped for. We wanted a photographer who would capture the day as it happened, the laughter, the love, the conversations, the children playing - the time celebrating with our families. Rachael couldn’t have been more accommodating & friendly. She met us pre-wedding to discuss our wishes, took notes of any specific photos we wanted & spent time learning about our guests, who was related to who etc., which was a lovely touch. On the day, Rachael kept all our guests laughing & everyone commented on what a great job she was doing. Rachael nipped into all kinds of spaces to capture wonderful images of our day, chatting to us throughout to ensure we were happy with the shots she was taking. We really couldn’t recommend Rachael enough, she captured our wedding day perfectly. We love every photo! Holly & Matt Atkin
