Documentary photography

From start to finish the aim of my photos is to tell the story of your day. They are a collection of moments, details, people and places, that, when viewed together they tell the whole story. They are mostly unposed, natural and spontaneous recollections of everything that happens. When you look at them I want them to take you back to the magic of the day and illustrate all the wonder and the love.

Here are some of the things I might take pictures of:

details (the venue, rings, cakes, table settings, wedding signs etc)

bridal prep

the ceremony and the first kiss

the confetti shot

candid pictures of you and your guests

speeches

cake cut

first dance

Approach

I am friendly, fun and flexible. It is important for me that the pictures are meaningful for the couple and so I offer opportunities to catch up a couple of times in between booking and the wedding. We'll talk, so that I can find out more about the people who are coming and what is important for you, so that I can get the best possible shots.

On the day I try to fit in around you and your wedding. I work hard to get all the photos I need in a way that is fairly unobtrusive. I consult with the couple when needed to let you know what stage I am at with the photography and if there is anything else we need to do to get all the pictures you would like. I am usually very calm and accommodating and happy to take more or less of photographs as you like on the day.

Afterwards I'll be in touch as soon as I know the photos are backed up, and then it's a 4-6 week wait for the pictures to be delivered via an online gallery. Finally, I offer prints as part of each package, so you can choose your prints and I will send them over.
